What's life like in Chapel Hill?
Chapel
Hill, North Carolina, is a city built around
the University of North Carolina. A university city but much more: a
cosmopolitan and eco-friendly town with great restaurants, cafes, music, parks,
hiking trails, and lots of fun activities. Chapel Hills' main street, Franklin
Street, shows how the city transforms into Carrboro. People worldwide choose
Chapel Hill for UNC and UNC Hospitals because of its proximity to Research
Triangle Park and the quality of life. Lots of good food, which is very
important to me, and the bus ride is free. There are many ways to turn your day
off to a fun day while hiking, running, or biking through parks and
trails.

Administrators and faculty members discussed student mental health.
UNC
administrators, educators, and leaders come together to discuss student mental
health. This is in the midst of an ongoing mental health crisis affecting
college students. University president Peter Hans said it's not just a campus
problem; it's a social phenomenon. Millions of people face the reality of
living with mental illness each year, and the crisis is looming large. It's
also felt on local college campuses like UNC. There they spoke about the mental
health initiatives taking place on college and university campuses in the UNC
system. The five North Carolina State University students who committed suicide
this year have given new thoughts to attendees' minds. Losing a student is
always hard, especially when the student decides to take their own life. I hope
the school system continues to stringently address this issue. Read
